Christina (Chris) Broderick, Head of School

Mrs. Broderick brings over twenty years of experience as an educator and administrator to Sion. She received her undergraduate degree in psychology and Women’s Studies at Mount St. Mary’s College in CA, her Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from University of Scranton, PA.   She began her career in Catholic education and worked in a variety of capacities including teaching, administration, and campus ministry.

Mike Schnitker, Associate Head of School for Finance and Operations

Mr. Mike Schnitker is proud to serve as Sion's Associate Head of Finance and Operations. Prior to coming to Sion, Mike served as Chief Financial Officer for the law firm of Lathrop and Gage for fifteen years. Mike is a Kansas City native and proud parent of two Sion high school alumnae. Mike brings his extraordinary financial expertise and a heartfelt enthusiasm for Notre Dame de Sion School. 

Natalie McDonough, High School Division Head (9-12)

Natalie McDonough joined the Sion Administrative team as the High School Division Head in 2013. She comes to our community from St. John LaLande Grade School where she served as the school principal for nine years. Prior to that Natalie was the assistant principal for four years and a middle school science teacher also at St. John LaLande. Natalie earned her BS in education and her MS in education and administration from University of Central Missouri. She also currently serves on UCM’s Alumni Board of Directors.

Dr. Paola Clark, Middle School Division Head and Director of Auxiliary Programs

Dr. Paola V. Clark brings over fifteen years of independent school and higher education experience as an educational leader, curriculum and instruction innovation specialist, and education consultant to Sion. She received a Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology from UNALM in Lima, Peru, a Master of Science in Science Education from Nova Southeastern University, and a Doctor of Education degree from the University of Central Florida with concentrations in Curriculum and Instruction and Education Technology. She has also completed postgraduate studies in Educational Leadership at the Specialist Level. Dr. Clark is excited and honored to serve as the new Middle School Division Head and Director of Auxiliary Programs at Sion!

Annie Riggs, Lower School Division Head (PK-5)

Mrs. Riggs began her career at Sion in 2009 as the Middle School Spanish teacher, and most recently served as our Middle School Division Head. She received a B.A. in English and Psychology from Rockhurst University and completed her teacher certification in Secondary English and Bilingual Education at Mount Mary College in Milwaukee, WI. She has also completed a M.A. in English Literature from UMKC. Mrs. Riggs has taught at several schools at both the middle and high school levels, most recently teaching Spanish and English at Rockhurst High School.

Penny Selle, Mission Director

Penny joined the School Leadership Team in July, 2013 as Mission Director. Passionate about different cultures, particularly with regard to interfaith dialogue, she has an MA in Museum Education from the University of Kansas and a BA in Education from Central Methodist University. Penny has been Sion's Fine Arts chair for 14 years, and serves on the Isak Federman's Teaching cadre at the Midwest Center for Holocaust Education and is a spiritual retreat leader.

Valeri Reynolds, Senior Director of Enrollment Management

Mrs. Reynolds is the Senior Director of Enrollment Management. Valeri received a Bachelor of Arts in Social Science from the University of California, Irvine and a Master of Arts in Education with an emphasis in Communication Arts. She has worked in higher education for over ten years, with a primary focus on admissions. Valeri most recently served as the Coordinator of Recruitment and Outreach at the University of Missouri- Kansas City School of Computing and Engineering.

Stephanie Volk, Director of Development

Mrs. Volk is the Director of Development for the Sion Advancement office. Stephanie has over 15 years of experience as a professional fundraiser. Her background includes sales, management, fundraising and donor relations. She is a native of Kansas City and attended the grade school 2nd grade through 7th grade. Stephanie holds a Bachelor's degree from Pittsburg State University.

Gina Moffitt, Director of Human Resources

Ms. Moffitt started at Sion back in October of 2004. She began as an Accounting Assistant and has worked her way to Business Manager and most recently the Director of Human Resources. She has 2 boys, one a Sionian and the other attends Sion grade school. Gina obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Accounting from Central Missouri State University.

Andy Sheer, Director of Facilities and Operations

Mr. Sheer serves the school as the Director of Facilities and Operations. He began working at Sion in 2003. He holds an A.S Golf Course Management from Kishwaukee College in Illinois and is a Board Member of the Missouri Plant Manager's Association.

Jason Ketter, Director of Technology Services

Jason graduated from DeVry University with a Degree in Applied Science of Electronics and Computer Technology.  Jason has been supporting technology professionally for 16 years for hospitals, law firms and educational institutions. Jason also produces music and plays drums.  He has three kids; Simon, Miles and Amelia. Jason is excited to be the new Director of Technology Services.
